Every morning from April to October, hundreds of hot air balloons rise silently above the valleys of Cappadocia as the sun climbs over the horizon. This daily spectacle — one of the most photographed sights on earth — is the backdrop for some of the most extraordinary proposals and celebrations we have ever arranged. There is simply nowhere else in the world quite like Cappadocia at balloon time: the silence, the light, the sheer visual drama of hundreds of coloured spheres drifting above an ancient volcanic landscape.
Proposal & Ceremony Options
Private Basket Proposal
We arrange exclusive use of a balloon basket — just you, your partner, and the Cappadocian sky. As the balloon drifts above the valleys and the light turns golden, the moment is entirely yours. Champagne, florals and a photographer on the ground are included.
Shared Flight Proposal
For a more spontaneous feel — a proposal during a shared flight, with fellow passengers to celebrate with you. We coordinate the exact moment with the balloon captain in advance.
Sky Ceremony
A fully symbolic ceremony conducted in the air, with a licensed officiant, your vows, rings and champagne. This is the most dramatic and unique ceremony setting we offer — for couples who want a story unlike any other.
Aerial Photography Session
A balloon flight timed specifically for photography — we position a second balloon alongside yours for breathtaking aerial couple portraits with the Cappadocian landscape below.
What to Expect
Your driver collects you from your hotel before dawn. A warm breakfast is provided at the launch site.

One hour of pure magic — drifting above fairy chimneys, over valleys, with a 360-degree view of one of earth's most extraordinary landscapes. Your pilot provides commentary on the geology and history below.
Touch down in a field, where a celebration with champagne and certificate awaits. Your driver returns you to your hotel for breakfast.
Best Season
Hot air balloon flights in Cappadocia operate year-round, but the highest frequency and most reliable conditions are April through October. June, September and October typically offer the best combination of good flying weather, comfortable temperatures and spectacular light conditions. Winter flights, when available, offer a uniquely beautiful experience — particularly if snow has fallen on the fairy chimneys.
Safety
All balloon operators we work with hold full Turkish Civil Aviation Authority (SHGM) licences and international safety certifications. Pilots have thousands of flight hours of experience over the Cappadocia region specifically. Safety is our absolute priority.
Weather Policy
Balloon flights are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed by the captain if conditions are not safe. In the event of a cancellation, we will rebook your flight at the earliest available opportunity. Full refunds are provided if rebooking is not possible.
FAQ — Hot Air Balloon
Yes. We arrange private basket flights — just the two of you and your pilot. These must be booked well in advance as private baskets are limited.
Comfortable, layered clothing is recommended. Mornings at altitude can be cool even in summer. Flat, closed-toe shoes are essential. We send a full preparation guide after booking.
Standard flights are approximately 60 minutes in the air. Allow 3–4 hours total including transfer, inflation, flight and celebration.
Weather cancellations happen. We have a contingency protocol in place and will rebook or refund promptly.
